Built-in safeguards

✓ Preserves configurationYour private/config.php, database password, setup key, cron key, and VAPID keys cannot be replaced by an update ZIP.

✓ File backup firstFiles being changed are copied into David's private backup area before replacement.

✓ Package integrity checkEvery payload file must match the SHA-256 list inside the David update manifest.

✓ Blocks downgradeAn older or same-version package is refused.

✓ Restores files on failureIf publishing or the update migration fails, David attempts to restore the previous application files.
